We provide hope for respiratory patients.

Clear Lung Therapies is a respiratory healthcare provider—but we are different from what you’ll find in most hospitals and clinics.

Instead of focusing on equipment and standard protocols, we focus on patients, families, and how to move treatment forward to get the best possible results through high quality home care.

Clear Lung Therapies was created for the purpose of providing hope and quality of life to respiratory patients, especially those who have tracheostomies and ventilators in their homes. We specialize in treating patients with neuromuscular disorders, like ALS / Lou Gehrig’s disease and muscular dystrophy, and spinal cord injuries.

Almost every time we meet new patients, we hear phrases like, “We were sent home from the hospital with very little training,” or “I’ve been told I have three to five years to get my affairs in order.” Yet time and time again, we have seen our patients’ lives transform—along with the lives of their families and caregivers.

While results are not guaranteed for all patients, there is a chance that you may live longer and have a better quality of life with the proper treatment.

Clear Lung Therapies President and CEO Richard Murray has spent decades successfully treating patients with neuromuscular disorders and spinal cord injuries, with exceptional results.

The specialized respiratory treatments offered by Clear Lung Therapies were created specifically to treat patients with neuromuscular conditions such as ALS / Lou Gehrig’s disease, muscular dystrophy and spinal cord injuries. After seeing the success of these techniques firsthand, he continued to use them in the Dallas area for many years, with remarkable outcomes. Today, Richard is frequently asked to share these methods with patients and healthcare providers across the U.S. and around the globe. In 2020, Richard launched a new healthcare company to bring the benefits of this highly effective treatment to a larger audience. First opened as RT Select, the company rebranded to Clear Lung Therapies in 2024. In addition to treating patients, Clear Lung Therapies provides education and training to healthcare providers, caregivers, and family members. We also work with healthcare providers to create and implement respiratory care plans.

Patients with Neuromuscular Conditions

For neuromuscular patients, the progression of respiratory conditions is specific to individual patients, so we create a custom treatment plan for each patient. In most cases, the treatments we provide will not only improve lung function and increase volumes, but they will also significantly reduce chances of lung infections and atelectasis.

Patients with Spinal Cord Injuries (SCIs)

While not guaranteed for all patients, in many cases, our SCI patients will benefit from improved lung function, along with increased lung volumes, which decreases the chances of infections and atelectasis. Tracheostomy removal may also be possible, with or without non-invasive ventilation.

How it Works:

Every patient relationship begins with an initial consultation, which can be conducted in person or online, via our HIPPA-compliant video platform. During your consultation and subsequent sessions, we will:

  • Discuss treatment options related to the patient’s condition.

  • Create a treatment plan according to the patient’s needs.

  • Educate and train healthcare providers, caregivers, and family members participating in the treatment.

  • Discuss treatment programs and progress.

  • Make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.

  • Provide ongoing care and support.

Richard Murray

President/CEO, Clear Lung Therapies

Driven by a passion for enhancing lives through advanced respiratory care, Richard specializes in treating ALS / Lou Gehrig’s disease, neuromuscular disease, and spinal cord injuries, and administering both invasive and noninvasive ventilation techniques. With over 25 years of experience, his mission is not just to treat, but to empower patients and their families with knowledge and support, facilitating a journey toward improved health and quality of life.

Skilled in the respiratory therapy and pulmonary fields, Richard has spent many years treating all aspects of respiratory care in facilities and in homes, from ventilators (invasive and non-invasive) and tracheostomies to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) programs. His special emphasis on neuromuscular conditions has allowed patients to enjoy an improved quality of life, and in many cases, has extended life by facilitating full care in the home, in order to minimize hospitalizations. His emphasis on spinal cord injury patients has resulted in the removal of tracheostomy and invasive ventilation for many cases.

He empowers patients by educating them on how to manage complex conditions confidently, and advocates for them by ensuring access to necessary resources and care.
